2 και 4 Μαΐου το δεύτερο πανευρωπαϊκό συνέδριο Transgender Europe









Το δεύτερο πανευρωπαϊκό συνέδριο διαφυλικών (transgender - transsexual ) ατόμων ανακοινώθηκε ότι θα γίνει φέτος στο Βερολίνο της Γερμανίας κάτω από την αιγίδα της οργάνωσης διαφυλικών ατόμων Transgender Europe (TGEU), μεταξύ 2 και 4 Μαΐου.

Το πρώτο είχε γίνει στη Βιέννη το 2005.

Στο συνέδριο θα συμμετέχουν οργανώσεις όπως η Διεθνής Αμνηστία, η Human Rights Watch μαζί με οργανώσεις διαφυλικών ατόμων από όλη την Ευρώπη. Αναμένεται να συμμετέχουν πάνω από 2.000 άτομα.

Make human rights work
This year's Council offers a full program featuring representatives from Transgender Europe (TGEU), the Committee for Human Rights − Council of Europe, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and many other international activists and experts.

Panels and Presentations will address Human Rights issues and Anti Discrimination Legislation in Europe as well as the results of the Study on the Legal and Health Situations of Transgender People in Europe, which was conducted by Press for Change (UK) in conjunction with ILGA Europe and Transgender Europe in 2007.

Workshops and Training Sessions will cover Lobbying, Fundraising, Transgender Counselling Services, Running a Youth Group, Discrimination in the Workplace, Conflict Mediation in Volunteer Organisations and Burnout Prevention for Activists.

There will be opportunities to discuss and formulate the future goals of Transgender Europe, including work on TGEU Policy and Vision Papers and a Petition to the European Parliament. As part of the General Assembly of Transgender Europe there will be an Election for the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee.

We are delighted to announce that the Council´s official Show and Party will be organised by Wigstoeckel − Transgender United and that yorckberlin will present an Art Exhibition of artists involved with the theme "Transgender".
